Lost Palette: A Journey Through Art and Words

Explore work by artist and writer Liza Lee Shishido

Born in Honolulu, Hawaii, Liza Lee Shishido is a self-published author with a Bachelor of Arts in Social Science.

Always ready for a new challenge, Liza has taught herself how to paint, sew, and write—sort of. In her youth, she often begged her parents for new notebooks that she filled with childish short stories and, later, angsty teenage poetry. Don’t remind her, though—she’ll cringe at the mere memories of drafting a story about talking fish and mulling over adolescent drama. (We’ve all gotta start somewhere!) But nowadays, she combines her creative skills with her knowledge of sociology and psychology to compose reflective and thought-provoking written work.

When she isn’t working, Liza can be found watching Lucifer or any number of Marvel movies (and TV shows!), playing video games with her friends, or reading books that may or may not be research for her various projects.

In addition to growing up in Hawaii, Liza has lived in Idaho, Georgia, Texas, and Alabama. She currently resides in Washington.
